Specialist Swing Funded For Local Family

A few weeks ago, we funded a special needs swing for a family in Newton Aycliffe, with thanks to our generous donors and fundraisers! We have just received some pictures of Sofia from her mam who would like to share her thanks; "We would like to say a HUGE thank you to Angel Trust and all of its supporters. Sofia absolutely loves the swing and it means a lot to us as it makes her so happy". 20 month old Sofia has an extremely rare metabolic disease called Non Ketotic Hyperglycinemia, which is a life limiting condition that causes global development delay, low muscle tone, problems with eating, and seizures. Due to this, Sofia needs extra support and cannot use regular children's equipment. The special needs swing allows Sofia to play outside and feel like a 'typical' toddler whilst working on her vestibular, which is essential, especially as she has been shielding at home for over a year.
