The amazing Heritage Site provides the stunning backdrop for this exciting event, running through the narrow cobbled streets and along the beautiful River Wear. The stunning setting creates for a perfect night of racing fun.

About the event

The 5k and 10k races start 10 minutes apart, facing each other across the ancient Market square. 5k runners will set of first at 7.15pm, with the 10k runners following 10 minutes later. Whichever you elect for, you will finish at Palace Green in between the Cathedral and the Castle, following in the footsteps of pilgrims who have climbed the hill for almost a thousand years. With a little luck you may have produced you’re own historical performance to match the surrounding splendour! All competitors have free access to the Durham City Park and Ride system so no need to worry about parking, you can run, recover and relax! Join the Angel Trust team at the end to celebrate your accomplishment.
