Our Community Pantry is open to all members of the public, offering discounted products and fresh fruit and vegetables which are donated by the Auckland Project.

The Pantry is open Monday – Saturday, 10am-2pm and can be found at the back of the Angel Trust building on Kingsway Bishop Auckland. The Pantry has a range of discounts and offers, including the option to fill a basket with essential items for just £5, each shop also comes with a fresh bunch of flowers, ensuring every customer leaves us with a lovely gift to take home.

Our Pantry welcomes hundreds of customers every day, with many visiting us several times a week during the opening hours. The Pantry receives excess stock from local supermarkets, meaning we also reduce food waste and have a positive impact on the environment in terms of recycling and reducing landfill. We work in partnership with the neighbouring Auckland Project who supply fresh fruit and vegetables to our Pantry.

Stock can change, but typically our Pantry will stock:

• Hygiene Products & Toilet Rolls

• Cleaning Products

• Cupboard essentials, including tins and dried pasta

• Tea, Coffee and Biscuits

• Flowers & Seasonal Plants

• Fresh Fruit & Vegetables

• Soft Drinks & Bottled Water

• Washing products including Shampoos, Shower Gels & Skincare

Items are also donated to schools and local community groups if we have excess stock.
