Support For Local Family Facing Loss Of Beloved Mother

We recently visited Alan Barkiss and his children, George and Pippa. Sadly, last month Alan's partner and mother to his children, Michelle Barkiss, passed away after catching COVID-19. We were contacted by various individuals asking if we could help in any way after the difficult circumstances they have been put through. Of course we didn't give it a second thought and contacted the family right away asking how we could help. Alan said it was their goal to take their children away on a family holiday together, and we have made that possible. We have gifted the family a voucher for a Centre Parcs holiday, for whenever they are ready, to spend some quality time together and reminisce on their happy memories of their mam. One of Michelle's colleagues said "Michelle was a fantastic nurse and is going to be a huge miss at Deerbolt, she worked throughout the pandemic since the early days putting other people before herself!". Our thoughts are with the Barkiss family.
