Angel Trust are proud to be flying the NHS flag at our hub in Bishop Auckland. Today we were joined by the Mayor of Bishop Auckland, and Cllr Katie Eliot, who will be fundraising over the next year for the Durham and Darlington NHS foundation, with a primary focus on Bishop Auckland Hospital. July 5th 1948 was a historic moment in our country’s history, as it was the day our pioneering National Health Service (NHS) was born, bringing free healthcare to all. It has been treasured every year since, but never more so than since March 2020 when the Coronavirus pandemic gripped the UK and changed everyone’s lives.
