Bishop Auckland Boxing club have just returned from Monks Town near Dublin northern Ireland after competing in an International bout that saw over 23 nations attending the 3 day competition . Prior to their trip charity CEO Clair Mcgregor from “ The Angel Trust “ presented each of the competitors with their new sponsored kit .  The boxers were Mason Bearsley aged 10 Jack DObson 15 , and Alex Pickering 15.

Alex got to the quarter final but was beaten on points by the Irish champion , Jack got to the semi final and after a very close bout the decision points were awarded to his Irish opponent.  Mason was awarded a certificate of excellence for his skills bout  Coaches Matthew Stephenson and Dan Waite were very proud of their performances and commented that it had given the boxers a tremendous experience of the international competition.

The club meet 3 times a week and currently have 16 competitive boxers as well as many boys and girls who train for fitness and agility.  The club are always looking for new members and encourage girls to come and be a part of the
