Graduation Certificates

Accreditations

At Angel Trust, we are committed to being "The Charity for the People." Providing support to our local community across County Durham and Darlington is a responsibility we hold with the utmost care. To ensure we are always operating to the highest possible standards, we hold formal accreditations with key national bodies.

For us, these badges aren’t just certificates on a wall. They are our commitment to you.

Why We Hold Accreditations

  • Building Trust and Transparency

As a local charity, our work relies entirely on the generosity of our supporters, businesses, and volunteers. Holding formal accreditations proves that we manage our funds, operations, and governance responsibly, safely, and transparently.

  • Continuous Improvement

The needs of our community are constantly evolving. Aligning ourselves with industry-standard frameworks ensures we are always learning, adapting, and bringing best practices back to Bishop Auckland and the wider region.

  • Safety and Respect for All

We deal with sensitive areas, including emergency food support, mental wellbeing, and housing guidance. Accreditations ensure that our staff, volunteers, and the people we support are always treated with dignity in a safe, structured, and legally compliant environment.

Our Key Accreditations

Institute Of Fundraising

The Institute of fundraising ensures that all of our Charity Fundraising initiatives are completely transparent and are taken in accordance with regulated guidelines. Our income streams are reported to the Charities Commission and we are always undertaking CPD and Courses to remain compliant.

White Ribbon

White Ribbon supports initiatives that reduce violence against women and girls. Our organisation has a strong stance on supporting those who have fled domestic violence, and we support those in need through post trauma counselling and wellbeing support.

Armed Forces Covenant

Our commitment to the armed forces covenant showcases our dedication to offering equal opportunity to all members of society, including those who are serving or have served. The covenant signifies that we will offer fair opportunity to those associated with the forces, whether through client support or recruitment.

Institute for Therapy

The Angel Trust has two in-house counsellors, specialising in post trauma and suicide/self harm prevention. Our counsellors are back-to-back with sessions throughout the day, amassing some 300 clients since April 2025 . The Counselling is effective and is showing fantastic results, with our expert team acting as a sounding board for other wellbeing issues and drop-in-sessions.

Food Hygiene - 5 Star

Our Angel Trust Community Pantry has a 5 Star Hygiene Rating, ensuring that all of our food-based support parcels are safe, hygienic and in line with strict standards of procedure. This means that every food parcel or pantry shop that we provide is of the highest quality.

Our Promise to You

Whether you are a corporate partner, a volunteer giving up your time, or someone coming to us for drop-in support, we want you to feel confident in Angel Trust. Our accreditations are our promise that we will always work with integrity, compassion, and professionalism to make our local community a better, safer place for everyone.
